ExxonMobil - Baytown Lubes Expansion Project

Performance Contractors performed the structural and mechanical scope of work for the Baytown Lubes Expansion Project (BTLX).

The purpose of this project was to expand lube oil production capacity at the Baytown refinery by converting to catalytic dewaxing technology. The BTLX project had an 11 month duration followed by a 52 day turnaround and included erection of 520 tons of structural steel, 39,000 lf of piping installation, and installation of 35 pieces of equipment, one of which was a 147ft tall, 650,000lb tower. The BTLX Project was the proud recipient of an ABC Excellence in Construction Eagle Award.
